Hello everybody, this is my first post here and I hope I am not already breaking rules of this wonderful forum.;-)

"Readesmere" is name of a fictional hospital in the novel I'm reading (at least I think it's fictional, for I couldn't find it online). The closest one I've found is Redesmere (lake), so I am allowing the possibility it was a typo. I will be very thankful if anyone can provide the pronunciation of "Readesmere" (or Redesmere, in case you too suspect it's a typo).

Thank you very much in advance!

In either case, it would be pronounced as "Reedsmeer". In fact, Redesmere, a lake in Cheshire (England), appeared on 19th century maps as "Reeds Meer".

Thank you very, very much! I couldn't decipher the "reades/redes" part, this was valuable help indeed.
