    Hello,

    - All I wanted to say is that you ought to meet him yesterday.

    - All I wanted to say was that you ought to meet him yesterday.

    I tried to write two sentences that I am not sure are grammatically OK or not.

    Both 'is' and 'was' are correct, but both sentences need to conclude '... you ought to have met him yesterday
