    What is a crab cooker?

    Hello everybody!

I am in the course of translating an English language conversion specification into Polish and I came across "a crab cooker". The specification is about rebuilding a snow crab trawler. There is plenty of refrigeration and cooling equipment on board her.

Can you help me to understand what a crab cooker is?

    Thank you.

A crab cooker is a deep metal pot in which there is a metal insert full of holes. The pot is filled with water and the crabs are put in the insert. When the crabs are boiled, one can remove them without the water.

It seems it's also a food franchise.
