    literary term

I am writing an essay and am not sure what literary term I am using as an example. I am referencing a quote from The Odyssey, where Odysseus says "his heart ached for this lady". Is this an ode, personification or simply figuarative language?

    Re: literary term

It is a metaphor, a figure of speech.
