    manipulatives

10-6)Kindergartens strive for a stimulating environment. Rooms are filled with manipulatives such as blocks and Legos, there is an abundance of brightly colored books and games, and the furniture is designed so that kids can work ①independently, in groups, or as an entire class.

I couldn't find the definition for "manipulatives" as a noun in a dictionary, maybe something is missing after it?

    Re: manipulatives

I have some sympathy with keannu on this one. I put "manipulative" into OneLook.com and only one of the multiple dictionaries there listed it as a noun and gave the definition tedmc found. All the others listed it only as an adjective. I had certainly never heard of the mathematical concept until I read tedmc's link.
Remember - if you don't use correct capitalisation, punctuation and spacing, anything you write will be incorrect.

    Re: manipulatives

I would not have used "manipulatives" there. Why be obscure?
