    Sustained

The family of John who died of wounded sustained when shot in the head has found traces of the murderer.

Hi, I didn't get the meaning of sustain in this sentence. What does it mean here?

    Re: Sustained

    It should be 'wounds'.

    'Wounds sustained' means 'wounds suffered'.

    Re: Sustained

That is a very odd sentence. Did you write it?
