    finished or have finished

    Which sentence is correct?
    1-I finished my homework.
    2-I have finished my homework.

    They are both grammatically correct.
    Remember - if you don't use correct capitalisation, punctuation and spacing, anything you write will be incorrect.

    But there was a discussion between my class mate and me
    I have finished is correct he said.
    I said not correct you must say "I finished" because the action is over

    So you haven't quite mastered the present perfect yet. "I have finished" also means that the action is over.
