Hi guys,I saw a sentence. "Check which underline parts of these sentences is correct". So my question is "Why "is" has been used here. There should have been "are"?

Are you sure you got it right? You also call it a grammer grammar book.

Many members of this forum have Raymond Murphy's books. Please give us the title and edition of the book you found the error in, and the page number.
Remember - if you don't use correct capitalisation, punctuation and spacing, anything you write will be incorrect.

    Re: Parts is correct

Intermediate english book. Unit 69. Page 169. But I have also noticed that Americans also sometimes use "Is" instead of "Are".

    Re: Parts is correct

With parts, the verb should be plural, and that is not a question of AmE or BrE. In colloquial speech, you will find is used with plurals, but this is not colloquial speech, so it should be are.
