    I/Me

    Hello!

As far as I know we use I and Me like this:

    1) My brother and I went to a party yesterday.
    2) Me and my brother went to a party yesterday.

When answering questions which one should be used?

For example: Who wants to answer?

    1) I
    2) Me

The first is grammatically correct and can always be used. The second is used by some speakers, but is regarded as wrong or non-standard by others, and it would not be acceptable in formal contexts.

For example: Who wants to answer?

    1) I
    2) Me
    I would use I do/Me. Just I doesn't work for me.

    Re: I/Me

In case the qestion is with the verb "to be" for example: Who is ready to start?

The possible answers are: a) I am and b) Me ?

    I am not a teacher.

I don't think it would be pedantic to say that it is wrong, not just regarded as wrong.

Would anyone think this isn't wrong? 'Me went to a party yesterday.'
