    would rather

After would rather in proposal structure we use a past form of the verb. My question is if the sentence if for an earlier time do we have to use past perfect or simple past?
    1. I would rather Ali went there now.
    2. I would rather Ali went there yesterday.
    2. I would rather Ali had gone there yesterday.
    Thanks,
