What to say when you misunderstood someone

    Dear Teacher,

When someone told me that I misunderstood him/her what should I say:

    a) Sorry, I misunderstood you.
    b) Sorry for my misunderstanding.
    c) Sorry to have misunderstood you.
    d) Sorry to have got you wrong.
    e) Sorry that I got you wrong.
    f) Sorry, I misunderstood what you meant.
    g) Sorry, I misunderstood that you

If any of these are not accepted as standard spoken English and never used by English native speakers please kindly pick them out (so that I can avoid using them in future). Also, Is there a better way to express the same meaning in this situation?

Thank you very much in advance for your kind help.

    Anne

I think once we didn't understand you...... we can say:
sorry, i am not getting you......
or i didn't got you( past)
    sorry for my misunderstanding.

I wouldn't use b). The others are all OK. It would depend on the formality of the situation and how serious a problem had arisen from not understanding them. Things like 'I didn't get what you meant' would be less formal.
