We're going to be in LA from Dec 26th to 28th, then we leave for Houston to stay until Jan 12.

    Does this make sense?

It makes sense to me. The "d" in "does" needs to be capitalized.

I would probably shorten it to "We'll be in LA from Dec 26th to 28th, then in Houston until Jan 12th".
Remember - if you don't use correct capitalisation, punctuation and spacing, anything you write will be incorrect.
