    A grammar militant repents

I wanted to share something with members and guests: an article in the British newspaper Guardian. It is written by someone who once liked to correct other people's mistakes. She explains her change of heart -- after someone corrected her mistakes.

Simply google the following: Confessions of a reformed grammar ... Rosie Driffill

P.S. The popular term for a grammar militant is a "grammar n---." Personally, I find the second word offensive. I do not think that word should ever be used in jest. So I prefer "grammar militant," which does, indeed, appear in the article.

    Re: A grammar militant repents

Well, I have heard of grammar police, but this is my first time seeing that other one.

You can read the article here.

The term that troubles James is used in the UK for people with extreme/inflexible/elitist views on things like grammar, music, etc.
