Phrasal Verbs with "Look..." and "Pass..."

    Hi!

I've had some great difficulties in finding out the right preposition to each one of the sentences below. Just can't make up my mind and fill in the gaps... Check them out, please!

    1. The Committee passed her ____ because she didn't speak many languages. [perhaps 'over' or 'by']

    2. Her supervisor finally brought ____ to the importance of bilingualism.

    Thanks!!!

In #1 "passed her over" is correct. There is no phrasal verb that fits in #2.

    2. bhaisahab hinted that it can't be "brought up", "brought on", or "brought out"

Something like brought up would be fine, but not before to.

Ok! So there's an error in sentence #2. Thank you all!

It should be either '.... brought up...' with no to as Tdol said, or '...brought the discussion round to...' - there's your phrasal verb ('bring <something> round to <something-else>'), but you need to supply the <something> - which in some cases could be just 'things'.
