    Below is a comment from the adjudicator at a 'Solo verse speaking competition'.

    Good work, but your pronunciation really needs slow/hard/work.

    Does 'hard' mean 'louder' in the above contect? Does 'work' mean 'more practice'?

    No, "hard work" means you need to put a lot of effort and thought into it.

    Yes, "work" means more practice.

    Yes, "hard work" means you need to put a lot of effort into it.

    Something that needs "a little" work needs less work than something that needs "a lot" of work.
