Question Back in 2009 when/where I used to go to the gym.

When I'm referring to the date and not place, for instance the year 2009, which of the below sentences are correct?
Back in 2009 when I used to go to the gym.
    Or
Back in 2009 where I used to go to the gym.

Neither of those are sentences. But if you referring to the date/time, it's 'when'.
