    packs a lot in

Is the phrase "pack a lot in" very common in English? Is it American, or British, or both?
The city has an area of just under 70 squre miles, but it packs a lot in. (about Washington, DC)
If I were a native speaker of English, I would never shut up. :-)

    Re: packs a lot in

It's fairly common in BrE. It can be used as it was in the example or, I would say more commonly, when referring to how many activities someone has done. For example, I have just been on holiday and one of my friends commented on my Facebook posts "Wow, you have packed a lot in to three days!" She was referring to how many things I had done.
Remember - if you don't use correct capitalisation, punctuation and spacing, anything you write will be incorrect.
