    can be obviously (be) mportant

    Hi,

    - Diet and exercise can be obviously important.
    - Diet and exercise can obviously be important.

Which one sounds better to you? I think both are OK, but the first one is better.

    Thanks.

Most native speakers would only use #2.

Also: 'Obviously, diet and exercise can be important'.

Re: can be obviously (be) mportant

I would use either "Obviously, diet and exercise can be important" or "Diet and exercise can be important, obviously". I find the placement of "obviously" in your examples quite unnatural.

I would go a little further and say that I would expect to hear/read "Obviously, diet and exercise are important" unless you are specifically talking about something with which diet and exercise simply might be an important factor.
Remember - if you don't use correct capitalisation, punctuation and spacing, anything you write will be incorrect.
