Did I use the past perfect continous tense correctly

Obviously, the sentence is rather cumbersome.

Besides, I'm not sure if I used the past perfect continous tense correctly. What do you think?

She said that after his death she had discovered more than 200 ties when she had been cleaning up his house

Re: Did I use the past perfect continous tense correctly

She said that while she was clearing up his house after his death, she discovered more than 200 ties.

I have tidied up the word order to make it less cumbersome. There is no need for the past perfect continuous.
Remember - if you don't use correct capitalisation, punctuation and spacing, anything you write will be incorrect.
