Hi there!

What would you understand if I told you that I work in my house?

What If I told you that I work at home?

I have the impression that the second question sounds more natural than the first one, but I don't know why. Is the first question wrong?

Regards,
Vitor

The second one is more natural. I don't know why that is except that it is more likely to be used. (The first one is not wrong.)

You will also see "work from (my) home".

This is the first time I have seen or heard the sentence underlined in red.

That's because the alternatives suggested above are far more common - especially 'I work from home'.

"I work from home" is the most common phrase in BrE for people who conduct their business from the comfort of their own living room (and who can, presumably, spend all day in their pyjamas!)

I was recently listening to a radio program, and one of the people was in his kitchen. (I think it was his kitchen. Anyhow, he didn't have to leave home to do what he did.)
