    rusty, rusted

What's the difference between "rusty" and "rusted"?

    a, rusted hinges
    b, rusty hinge

    Thanks.

    Re: rusty, rusted

    Very little. Maybe nothing.

I would think that "rusted" was more oxidized than "rusty." A "rusty" hinge might have a little bit of rust. A "rusted" hinge would probably be more thoroughly oxidized.

    But that is my opinion.

    Re: rusty, rusted

Fabioj, I have two pieces of advice for you.

    1. Instead of giving us fragments or single words, please give us full sentences to work with.
    2. Don't write a new post to say "Thank you" to anyone. It is much quicker for all of us if you simply click on the "Thank" button in the bottom left-hand corner of any post you find helpful.
Remember - if you don't use correct capitalisation, punctuation and spacing, anything you write will be incorrect.
