    Is this sentence correct?

He would most likely go mad, maybe even disperse like a mist if I hadn't explained to him some particularities of the local area. In fact, hadn't I made it all up driven by Christian solidarity.

    Is the second sentence correct?

    Re: Is this sentence correct?

    Welcome to the forum, emel.

What is the source of these sentences? If they are your own, for what purpose did you write them?

    Re: Is this sentence correct?

Please note that "Is this sentence correct" is not an acceptable title. It should contain words from your actual question.

    Re: Is this sentence correct?

It seems like you need a question mark on the end of the sentence. Do you mean that the speaker is telling lies to promote Christian solidarity?

We'll be in a better position to answer when emel answers my post #2.

    Re: Is this sentence correct?

Rover - Thanks for the welcome. The source of the sentences was the translation we were doing from Serbian to English. The final version of the translation sounded like this but I didn't think that it was correct and decided to check.
Raymott - It does sound like a question, but it isn't supposed to be one. I said the beginning of the sentence should sound like this: In fact, that I hadn't made it all up...
Sorry for the mistake with the title, I will try to correct it tomorrow.

This doesn't work for me. How aout something like Out of Christian solidarity, I hadn't, in fact, made it all up.

This assumes that Christian solidarity led the person to be honest, while your original suggests the opposite.

It does suggest the opposite meaning from yours, but that is how it is in the text we were translating from.
