Hello guys good Sunday
I have a question for you about the word level.
Look at this dialogue I've read in an old comic.
Nick "shut up listen you and me have been in the poolroom for three hours, we played pool together OK? ".
Paul "sure Nick sure don't worry I'll level for you".
What does level for you mean? I imagine the meaning but in the dictionary don't find nothing about it.

It seems to mean 'I'll lie for you'.

I believe Italian sentences have to end with a punctuation mark. English ones must, too.

In context, it appears that they used "level" to mean "provide an alibi". For me, that is still unusual.

Read posts #2 and #5 where you were given suggested meanings. I don't find the phrase particularly natural but, in the context, I would assume that the person who said it meant he/she was happy to tell the story he/she had just been given by the other person.
