Question behaviour are recorded or noticed ? or both?

I need to say that after having done some research there are some new discovers about something. Can I say that:

...an abnormal behaviour has been recorded.

Or maybe I should say that

...an abnormal behaviour has been noticed.

    thank you

If something has been recorded that means you have a written record of it. Or you have an audio record of it. Or you have it on videotape. If you have noticed something that means you have taken note of it. (Usually meaning that you have seen it or heard it.) Actually, it is possible for both to be true. (The thing has been noticed and recorded.)

If you are talking about research and publication, you could say "documented".
