An attendant asks me: Do you have your membership card on you?

I say: I'm sorry, I don't have the card itself, but I do have the membership number.

    Is that an okay response?

It's just a membership card to receive points after each meal.

Is this okay to say: I'm sorry, I don't have the card itself, but I do have the membership number.
