    Exclamation what does 'lye' mean?!

    Hello All,

    "London has the oldest underground railway systems among the six cities. It was opened in the year 1863, and it is already lye years old."

    It's a mis-print. In that context, only a number would make sense.
    By the way, don't add a ! to your ? as you have done in the title of your thread, and always start a sentence with a capital letter.
    I'm not a teacher of English, but I have spoken it for (almost) all of my life....
