    where is/are the rest?

    Hi,

Let us assume that I am the manager who leads the meeting right now. We are 50 people at the meeting, but we must be more than 50. And I ask:

    - Where are the rest?
    - Where is the rest?

Which one is OK to use - is/in? I think 'are' OK, but not sure.

    Thanks.

chiebren, your answer is correct, but please state that you are not a teacher, in accordance with the forum rules.

ademoglu, please note that 'Where is the rest?' is correct in other contexts.
