Post How long have I waited for the bill: 1 hour or 1.5 hours?

My friend and I came across with the following passage:

'When I checked out, I was asked to wait for the bill. I waited 30 min. for the bill. I went to the front desk and asked for the bill again. The receptionist told me that I had to be patient. I tried to explain to her that a car was waiting for me but she ignored me. I didn't get my bill until an hour later.'

How long have 'I' waited for the bill?

1.5 hours, but this is not a question on English.

You may say 'the speaker' instead of 'I'.

It may have something to do with reading comprehension.
