    Delhi's africans

    Hi guys,

    Please check.

"Earlier in delhi there were a little number of african people only males. After sometime their women also came here and now their children can be seen too". So can we also say "After sometime their women also started to be seen in Delhi"?

    ***** NOT A TEACHER *****

    1. I am 99.99% sure that an American writing teacher would want you to work on that sentence.
    2. I know that you are a learner, so you do NOT realize that some people would find that sentence a little offensive. Sometimes it is necessary to phrase certain things in a very gentle and respectful manner so as not to hurt people's feelings.

    3. I personally would write something like this:

"Only a few African people, mostly males, used to live in New Delhi. Women came later and started families."

(Sometimes it is not necessary to say certain things. If women came, then we know that they and their children "are seen.")
