    Yes, sorry I wasn't clear.

    In the sentence above, do I use the word come or comes? Both sound right to me and I am unsure as to which one is correct and why.

    I think it's 'come' but when I erase 'victory' I'm left with 'when the the king's help come' and that doesn't sound right.

    If king's help and victory is a single thing, then use comes, but if they are two separate things, use come. In some cases, it is a matter of opinion- it depeds on how the speaker views things. I would be more likely to use something like when the king's help comes and victory is ours.
