Post Nobody gets used to pain for it demands to be felt.

    Teachers,
    Does this make sense?
    Is the sentence grammatically correct?

Nobody gets used to pain for it demands to be felt.

Re: Nobody gets used to pain for it demands to be felt.

While there is nothing wrong with the sentence grammatically, 'pain demands to be felt' doesn't make sense or is it used figuratively?

Not really. I think there's a logical issue with the sentence- I have been in permanent pain from an injury to my spine since 2003; you do get used to it and do work out how to handle it- you still feel it, but there are many strategies for coping. I would say that it could depend on the degree of pain, but if it makes constant demands over a long time period, you learn some degree of pain management- you have no choice.
