I would say "He tells the truth and it shows."

Please check. "He tells truth it shows" "He told truth it showed". Can we also say "It use to show"?
But what about the past form?
'It used to show' is correct, but used rarely.
He told the truth and it showed.
He told the truth and it used to show - This would have to be justified by some context like '... but since he started acting lessons it's not so easy to tell.' (I'm not convinced that in Real Life this sort of context is ever likely to arise - say '...and it showed'.)
I was not trying to fit ot in this conyext. I was just asking whether this formation exists.
