    the function of word

    Hi, I don't know the function of the word highlighted by red color below:

    The eventual sales took place timeframe that meant no tax was payable

    can anyone help ?

    That's not a meaningful sentence. Something has been left out. Nothing can "take place timeframe".
    "Timeframe" means what the dictionaries say it does.
    Also, it's "time frame".
