    easily translated, but confusing

The following in red is confusing. I can translate it literally, but it's hard to understand. Would you please paraphrase it?

"I can't code. I'm not very technical. ..... For my 40th birthday, my husband gave me a lifetime of tech support, no complaining. The no complaining part was actually important because he had been providing tech support already---but there was a lot of complaining [on his part]," she said, smiling broadly.

    Thank you.

    Re: easily translated, but confusing

For her birthday, her husband gave her the "gift" of no longer complaining about having to help her with technical issues.

    Re: easily translated, but confusing

Her husband had been providing her with tech support, but he always complained about it. Now he will continue to provide tech support, but he won't complain.

Note: Dave is faster than I am.
