I give new meaning to 'taking your work with you.'

And use it as a instagram caption?

    Yes, you could.
More idiomatically, you might say "This gives a whole new meaning to the expression "taking your work with you".

An inventory is a list of items, not the items themselves.
    Try product or merchandise.

    not a teacher

Not true. "Inventory" can also mean the items on that list.
