    inversion and modifiers

    What are the correct answers of those two questions?

    Choose the sentence whitch has nomodifier?

    a-can't I do thing to help you?
    b-Was there anybody there?

    b-Not many boys did better than John.
    d-it is'nt far from this house to the school.


    Choose the correct inversion of the following sentence?

    Mainly it was for this reason they decided to do it.
    a-It mainly was for this reason they decided to do it.
    b-it, for this reason, was mainly; they decided to do it.
    c-It was mainly for this reason they decided to do it.
    d-it was for this reason, mainly. They decided to do it.

    Sorry for posting two questions. These two questions are part of a proficiency test for teachers in Egypt.

    We can't help you with tests, in the same way that we don't help learners with homework. The test is supposed to find out about YOUR proficiency with English. What is the point of you giving them our answers?
