    Were used to

    Hi guys,

Please check. Is it a correct formation "Products that were not used to be made" or used to be made in our country".

    I am not a teacher.

    No.

It should be either, 'Products that used not to be made' or, 'Products that didn't use to be made'.

    Re: Were used to

You will see "didn't used to be made" because it sounds the same and people mess it up, but note Roman's "didn't use to be made" is correct.

Americans are less likely to use the "used not to be made" form, in my experience.
I'm not a teacher, but I write for a living. Please don't ask me about 2nd conditionals, but I'm a safe bet for what reads well in (American) English.

It does not, of course, make any sense by itself. Perhaps:

They didn't use to be made here, but now they are.
