    predate

    Hi,

Could anybody please help me with the meaning of this senetnce?
P.S. I know what is food miles.

Local food both pre-dates food miles as a concept and, as a consequence, to some extent, helps to configure the conceptualisation of food miles.

    Thanks.

    Re: predate

"Food miles" deals with distance food travels from producer to consumer. Locally produced food is not transported very far.

    Re: predate

    "Pre-dates" = "existed before"

    See my corrections above.
Remember - if you don't use correct capitalisation, punctuation and spacing, anything you write will be incorrect.
