    Qustion

Can you explain or rephrase the below sentence please?

"as i’d taken to trying not to call it in my head"

It is taken from the below context:

Two weeks after the “sex conversation”—as i’d taken to trying not to call it in my head—Tish was standing across a conference table from me, her hands resting on a lectern

    Re: Qustion

    I am not a teacher.

'To take to' is to fall into the habit of doing something.

There had been a conversation between the speaker/writer and Tish, and this was possibly a cause for embarrassment or feeling of discomfort. Whenever the writer thought about it, he/she tried not to think of it as the 'sex conversation'.

It's slightly convoluted, (intentionally so, I would guess) for humorous effect.

    Re: Qustion

There is no need to write a new post to say "Thanks". Every post has a "Thank" button in the bottom left-hand corner. Simply click that button on any post you find helpful. It saves everyone time.

Also, note that you misspelt "Question" in your thread title.
Remember - if you don't use correct capitalisation, punctuation and spacing, anything you write will be incorrect.
