I asked an American professor for a recommendation letter/a letter of recommendation. His response was, "Your final grades for course need to be taken into consideration." We are going to meet tonight for the final exam. We might not see each other again. I want to mention the place he is going to deliver that letter to. How? Thanks.

If it is through postal mail, the information is called the address.
If it is through e-mail, the information is called the e-mail address.

The only place where I can receive his letter is through a bookshop. I have no P.O. Box.

I don't know what this letter is for, but where I live, many academic institutions will not accept a letter of recommendation unless it is mailed directly to them by the recommender.

A teacher recommends his student. In that letter, he will mention that this student took a course with him, the grades a student got, how disciplined he was. I would receive his letter in person. If academic institutions rejected it and stated the reasons, I would negotiate that with them to reach agreement/to find a solution.

As Mike said, the person writing the recommendation sends it directly to the institution who needs it. It does NOT pass through the hands of the person being recommended. It not only opens the situation up to fraud (not that you would do that!) but makes the person doing the recommending less likely to be honest, since you will see what he/she wrote. I find it VERY odd that you would have him write the letter and give it to you. If he's American, it may go so much against his grain that he may refuse to do it.
