Can you supply any context?

Hi, I have two phrases in the movie "the last castle" that I can't understand!
1. life just becomes snapshots.
2. I can take a mes.
What do they mean, especially the first one?
Thanks in advance.
Remember to capitalise titles. It's "The Last Castle". Are you sure the word in your second sentence is definitely "mes"? Check the spelling.
Remember - if you don't use correct capitalisation, punctuation and spacing, anything you write will be incorrect.
A snapshot is a photograph. I don't know the context, but it might mean that all we have to look back on in our lives is the photographs we have. Would that make sense?
Sorry for being late!
The context for the first:
When you're doing combat duty, after a while, life just becomes snapshots.
About the second,
I think the word "mes" is unfinished because she was talking on the phone but I'm not sure!
Is there anyone who has watched the movie?
Miss Kelly was interrupted while saying "I can take a message.""I can take a mes - "
Thank you a lot for your answering me, Jill Dorchester and MikeNewYork.
I really appreciate your help.
