    alternative question.

    http://odb.org/2015/01/01/better-or-worse/
A: Will the world get better or worse?
    B: Yes, to both!
    http://grammar.about.com/od/ab/g/alt...estionterm.htm
A's question is not a Yes-No question, but an alternative question.
Why did B answer "Yes, to both!"?
    I need native speakers' help.

    Re: alternative question.

B believes the world will get better (in some aspects) and worse (in other aspects).

    Re: alternative question.

If B thought that the world would get neither better nor worse, could she answer "No, to neither!"?
