    each other vs one another

If a teacher asks her pupil (pupil A) about good behaviour, which of the following scenarios is correct?

Scenario 1. Teacher : What should friends do to each other?
Pupil A: Friends should be nice to each other.

Scenario 2. Teacher : What should friends do to one another?
Pupil A: Friends should be nice to one another.

    Thanks Rover

I understand the difference between each other and one another.

I just want to know the correct expression for a teacher to ask their pupil (pupil A) about what good behaviour is e.g in an oral exmination? Please note that I saw the following sentence in a book
    .
What should/shoudn’t friends do to each other/one another?
