    past simple or present perfect continous

    He worked as a postman for the past few months.
    He has been working as a postman for the past few months.

    Which one is correct?

    The second one is more natural.

    I think the first one can mean that he is no longer a postman now. Please correct me if I am wrong.

    You are not wrong. "He worked" refers to something in the past. Nobody would say that a person worked at a place for several weeks if that person was still working there.
