Let me hear your opinion about a phrase "Super English language high-school."

When you hear a phrase "Super English language high-school," what is your image of this "school?"
Does this phrase sound appropriate to describe a kind of high school where English education is strongly promoted?
Thank you.

My image is depreciative (students should look in a dictionary to distinguish depreciate from deprecate ;-)). My lip curls a little. 'Super' is not a good collocation for 'school' in this context. (Informally, a child might say to a new friend: 'You'll like it at my school; it's super.'

***** NOT A TEACHER *****

Hello, Cabin:

May I share a few thoughts?

1. If you want to write that phrase in English, I believe that it should be punctuated like this:

"My children attend a super English-language high school."

2. I do not know your first language (I could not find it in your profile). Maybe "super" in your language would be fine. The teacher in post #2 gave us the opinion of many native speakers.

a. I admit, though, that I personally would have no problem with your choice of adjective.

3. Perhaps more people would be happier if you said something like:

"My children attend an outstanding / exemplary English-language high school."

Clicking on 'Member Info' shows that cabin's native language is Japanese.
