usage of reverse and synonyms of big

I want to talk about the two words in my post.

Suppose that you really enjoyed your childhood. You hope that you can turn time back and enjoy it again. Instead of using the words "turn back"',
can you use the verb in red below.

    (1) I wish I could reverse time and enjoy my childhood again.

Some online writers use the word, immense, when they talk about how supportive sports fans are of their teams.

    (2) You are an immense hockey fan.

I know you can say, a big or a huge fan. Can you use "immense" here?

    Please explain. Thanks a lot.

Re: usage of reverse and synonyms of big

    "Reverse time" works for me.

"Immense hockey fan" doesn't work for me. Come to that, nor does "big hockey fan". I would generally just say I'm either a fan or a huge fan. Anything more than that would potentially be an obsessed fan!

However, some people, when they meet a celebrity or a sports player, might say "I'm your biggest fan". I admit that it's odd that we use "biggest" but not "big".
Remember - if you don't use correct capitalisation, punctuation and spacing, anything you write will be incorrect.

    1. Yes, that works.

    2. As you said, you will run across that use. I think there are better uses for "immense".
