    awaiting + for

I have read that "awaiting" is never followed by the preposition "for", but I have seen the expression "awaiting for" many times in Internet. Is it correct or not?

    Re: awaiting + for

It should not be followed by the preposition "for". The word "await" means "wait for", so "await for" would mean "wait for for". You will find many incorrect uses on the Internet.
