What did you do then? asked Anna.

“Hey, Anna! Long time no see!” said Jim.
    “You look happy!”
“I am,” said Anna. “I went to an island by boat with my family on my summer vacation. The weather was hot and sunny all the time.” Anna was happy because she and her family had a good time on the island. They visited a beautiful beach and swam in the ocean.
“Oh, yes. You went hiking in the mountains, too. You wrote a postcard,” said Jim. “I read it last week.”
“Yes, I took lots of pictures, too. Let’s look at the pictures tomorrow,” said Anna.
“What did you do then?” asked Anna.
Jim looked sad. This summer, he stayed home and went to the cram school every day. At the cram school, he lost his wallet. His mother was upset because the wallet was new and expensive. He also lost a box of cookies and 2 cans of cola.
“I went to the cram school on my summer vacation,” said Jim.
    “That’s too bad,” said Anna.

Does “then” mean on summer vacation?

Re: What did you do then? asked Anna.

It is quoted from a teacher's manuel of a junior high school English textbook published in Taiwan. The authors and editors are Taiwanese.

Re: What did you do then? asked Anna.

In that context, "then" means "after that".

Re: What did you do then? asked Anna.

    I don't agree with MikeNewYork.

The conversation started with Jim asking Anna what she had done during her summer holiday. She told him and they agreed to look at the photos the next day. That was the end of that part of the conversation. Anna then decided to ask Jim what he had done during his summer holiday. In this context, for me, the "then" could be omitted. It could have been worded "So what did you do?"

In BrE, at least, we put "then" on the end of quite a lot of questions for no apparent reason.

What were you up to last night then?
Why are you wearing those shoes then?
Who did you go out for dinner with on Saturday then?

All those "then"s could be removed with no change in meaning.
Remember - if you don't use correct capitalisation, punctuation and spacing, anything you write will be incorrect.
