    Ring on finger

"I put a ring on her finger". Is it correct?

    Re: Ring on finger

Okay. "I want to put a ring on her finger" or "A necklace on her neck". Its okay. Can we say "I made her wear a necklace or a ring"?

'Make her wear' is different from 'you put the ring/necklace on her'.

    Re: Ring on finger

To most native speakers, Matthew, 'made her wear' means 'compelled/forced her to wear'.

See definition 10 in the above link.

    Re: Ring on finger

But is there any reason to 'compel/force her to wear' in the OP's context?
    Not a teacher.

I should think that it depends on the OP's attitude, Matthew.
