    we could do more

What does the following in red mean in the context? From <<Leading the Life You Want>> by Stewart Friedman.

And they make time for their marriage. ..... "Dave and I try to take a trip alone each year, even if it's two days for our anniversary. We try to have things that we do just together. But, like all of us, we could do more."

Is it saying "we can do more things together if we try?"

    Thank you.
